I'm Anays

I'm an architect and artist born in Venezuela. I personally design and make the tufted pieces you can see here, all handmade with a lot of love and attention to detail.

In 2022 I moved to the Netherlands; Anybody who's left their country understands the mixed feelings of being in an amazing beautiful new place while also missing your home and specially your loved ones. It was through tufting that I discovered a way to channel and connect with my feelings and thoughts during this period of adaptation, It's missing home but also  embracing with excitement a new chapter. Every piece I create holds a deeply personal touch and becomes a tangible part of my journey.

 

Raíz means root, and for me, it’s all about the small things that make you feel at home, enjoying a warm tea barefoot on a soft rug, an art piece that reminds you of a place, person or just gives you a cozy feeling.
